This information has been written to help you learn new vocabluary. You already know hundreds of English words, but to speak and write English in day-to-day situations you need at least 1-2000 words.

Language words

| plural | more than one | books, cats | множина |
| phrase | a group of words | in a house, at home | словосполучення |
| sentence | a complete idea in writting, beginning wiht a capital letter and ending with a full stop | The man went into the room and closed the door | речення |
| paragraph | a short part of text beginning on a new line | That book has 50 units | параграф |
| dialogue | a conversation between two people | – How are you? – I’m fine, thanks. | діалог |
| question | a sentence that end with a question mark | Are you English? How are you? | питання |
| answer | reply on a question | Yes, I am. No, I don’t. | відповідь |
